How to Make 50 or More Rubber Stamped Christmas Cards in a Day

Do you like to make unique rubber stamped Christmas cards? Perhaps you would like to individualize each one. Here are some quick stamping tips and ideas for making each card creation a little bit different yet keeping it unique!

• Use a basic card layout. There are many ideas available in our card template gallery. Choose a layout that can easily be altered and doesn't require too much detailed attention. The Discovery, Romantic or Tagged card layouts will work well.

• Once you have chosen a basic layout, stamp several accent images such as a nativity scene or a snowman. You will be placing one of each of these on each card that you make. These may be stamped on any shape - a circle, square, rectangle or tag.

• Choose a solid color and mat each of your accent images.

• Next select or design your own holiday background paper. You may wish to use a similar clear rubber stamp to the one used in your accent image to create a feeling of unity in the card. Use the second generation stamping technique (stamping more than one image before re-inking the stamp). This will add depth to the overall background design.

• Now you are ready for the fun part. Cut or tear your background paper to cover the background part of your card. It can be placed anywhere horizontally or vertically on the face of the card. With over six positions to choose from, you already have 6 individual but similar cards started.

Does anyone really like buying and giving out Christmas cards? When people talk about the over-commercialization of Christmas, Christmas cards are often named as one of the culprits. When did it ever become trendy to give people folded pieces of paper with cutesy, over-cliched sayings and pictures? It's tough to say. Nevertheless, the Christmas card giving tradition is firmly entrenched and not likely to go away anytime soon. That being the case, one would do well to at least learn how to give cool and interesting ones versus the cheesy, forgettable ones most people give.
Here are some general principles:

1) Send an actual card, not an "e-card"
It has become trendy in recent years to send "e-cards" via e-mail instead of actual cards via actual mail. This is seen as cute, clever, or unique, since it bucks the long-standing tradition of physical cards. While some e-cards are cool, and some people enjoy getting them, it often comes off as tacky. It indicates a lack of effort from the sender. For this reason, it is good practice to not send e-cards, at least not to people you truly care about. Take the time to pick out a unique and interesting physical card.

2) Don't pick out a card with impossible-to-read cursive writing
Nothing is worse than someone handing you a card face-to-face and you having to squint to see what it means. Not because the text is too small, but because it's written in ridiculously over-pretentious, old English style, looks like it was written with a feather pen cursive! This is seen as sophisticated, festive, and formal, but in actuality, often comes off as boring and tacky. The phrase "it's been done" comes to mind. If you want to give a card that conveys a serious meaning, opt for one with printed, easily read text that hits home immediately. Having to squint to understand the words lessens the effect.

3) Funny cards are great, but not cliched funny
In the world of cliched, serious, and pretentious cards, funny cards are a welcome breath of fresh air. But sadly, even humorous cards have been siezed upon by cliches, over-used jokes, and stale punchlines that sound like they were lifted from Hee-Haw reruns. Examples of this include cards that fart when you open them, cards with generic knock-knock jokes, or cards with almost-naked men or women. Don't give people cards like that. Rather, try to select a funn card that is in some way relevant, perhaps one that has to do with an inside joke you have, or a shared memory.

4) Don't write something ultra-sentimental if it's not warranted
Everyone has one of "those relatives" whom you never see or talk to during the year, but who writes out Christmas cards as though you are close. Maybe it's a distant aunt who gushes in the card about how "special" you are or how much they miss you, or an out-of-state grandmother (who you've met all of twice) who still feels compelled to write how she "can't wait to see you again." Try to avoid writing things like that unless you actually mean them. If you write them without meaning them, and it's obvious that you don't mean them, your card will be seen as hoaky and phony.

"What kind of recipes, do you mind to share with me?", Tony said.
"Sure! This time we can discuss and do it together.", Said Mary.
"Class quiet! Please do your work quietly, I will be back in an hour time!", Vanessa said to the class.
While Vanessa is walking out of the classroom, all the students started discussing about how to create new recipes from the source that teacher has given.
Tony and Mary pair up immediately. They have started to drop down notes and discuss with each other.
After 45 minutes, came Vanessa. She is waiting for someone to show up with some wonderful creations. Yes, she saw Tony and Mary walking towards her. They came with a few pieces of paper.
"Class, shall we see what they have prepared for us?", said Vanessa.
Champagne Fruit Punch
Ingredients
4000 ml champagne 1 sliced pineapple 2 sliced oranges 2 sliced lemons 500g sugar 500 ml curacoa liqueur (optional) 1000g fresh strawberries 2000 ml water
Preparation
a. Mix all well together in punch bowl, except champagne. b. Put in large piece of ice and pour the champagne in.
Fruit Salad Recipes
Orange and Apples
Ingredients
4 oranges or 2 grapefruits 4 apples 1 cup chopped celery 1 head lettuce 1 cup mayonnaise
Preparation
a. Cut fruits up with celery. b. Serve on lettuce leave with mayonnaise.
Orange and Walnuts
Ingredients
6 oranges 500g pickled walnuts 1 head lettuce 1 cup mayonnaise
Preparation a. Peel oranges and slice length-wise. b. Chop walnuts, mix with oranges and mayonnaise. c. Serve on lettuce.
Fruit Salad Dressing
Ingredients
250 ml olive oil 300g powdered sugar 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1/4 teaspoon salt 1.5 lemons (juiced)
Preparation
Mix in order given and serve with orange, grapefruit, pineapple or banana.
Christmas Fruit Jelly
Ingredients
2 tablespoons agar-agar 1 lemon 500 ml wine 400g sugar 1000 ml water 250g white grapes
Action
a. Boil agar-agar, lemon and sugar. b. Add wine to flavour, when removing from the fire. c. When it begins to congeal, stir in white grapes.
Fruit Pudding
Ingredients
125g candied cherries 50g citron (thin slices) 125g macaroons Sponge cake 500 ml milk 1 tablespoon agar-agar or gelatine 1 lemon rind (cut very thin) 85g powdered sugar 2 tablespoon cold water
Action
a. Soak the agar-agar in cold water until it is soft. b. Put it over the fire in a saucepan with the milk, sugar, and the rind. c. Let it heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally until the gelatine and sugar are dissolved. d. Butter an plain pudding mould thickly with cold butter, and ornament the bottom and sides by decorating some fruits against them. e. Place the remaining fruit and the cake in the mould, in alternate layers. f. Strain the milk into the mould and set it where it will cool and firm. It takes about 4-5 hours. g. Turn it out of the mould and serve it cold.

Christmas is one of the few times when families are likely to get together, so ensuring that everyone has a great time is crucial. 1. When it comes to decorating the home ready for Christmas then why not get the whole family involved. 5. If you want to help the younger children in your family wind down on Christmas day or even on the days leading up to it then spend 5 minutes each night reading them a special Christmas story. 6. Sometimes families like to open one present on Christmas Eve and if you want to make it a little more memorable make it in to a treasure hunt. The Christmas Pressure Cooker

A friend of mine once told me that her favourite Christmas was one when she had the flu, so they stayed home and did absolutely nothing. But what about the turkey dinner, I asked? What about the family get-together? Don't you miss the gifts? Nope, she said. None of that turned her crank. And then I realized that I didn't always relish all that chaos, either.
Why is it that Christmas elicits such feelings? We look forward to the holiday with great anticipation, but we also dread all the work, and the visiting, and the noise. My mother-in-law, who once was the proud owner of over a thousand Christmas decorations, is now the fed up owner of over a thousand Christmas decorations. Christmas, I think, has simply become too big.
Sometimes I dream of a small holiday, with just the four of us sipping hot chocolate around the tree. Then I realize how much we would miss all the ornery relatives-and the nice ones-if they were absent. But add four extra kids and four times as many adults to the picture, let alone negotiating which side of the family we spend which day with, and Christmas becomes a huge production.
This aspect of the season has a whiff of an austere aunt telling us to write our thank you notes: you just have to do it, and your feelings don't matter. So we entertain, buy multitudes of presents and rush to parties, even if we're tired and cranky. And this rushing deprives of us of something we want desperately at Christmas that we don't necessarily have at other times of year: quality time with our own families.
And Christmas is the only time of year that truly is about family. There are no swimming lessons or hockey games or play practices or exams. There's only family. So this year is going to be different, we vow. We're going to build memories, forge bonds, and show the affection that is sometimes lacking as we pass each other at the refrigerator. We have images of families huddled around the fire as we read the Christmas story, sing carols, and throw snowballs if only the weather would cooperate. When our kids would rather watch the latest DVD or play with their new presents, we get really annoyed. We demand too much of Christmas because we don't have it at other times of year. That's a lot of pressure to put on December 25.
Can Christmas live up to all the hype? Perhaps, but only if we come at it not with unrealistic expectations, but instead with a quiet and firm commitment to put first things first once more. Christmas can't make up for a whole year of busyness, but it can ground us once again so that we can ensure the chaos doesn't last all year. During the holidays, when we breathe that sigh of relief because there is no hockey, or gymnastics, or skating, or jobs, it begs the question why we make ourselves so busy in the first place. Maybe, if we gave ourselves more time during the year, Christmas could once again be a time to relax and laugh together. It's an extension of what you do, rather than the exception to the rule.
Christmas is about family, faith and love. But let those things not be gifts that we unwrap at Christmas, only to tuck away again until next year. Let's build them into our lives, today, and reap the benefits of the holidays all through the year.

Great Christmas Gift Tips For Kids Ages 7-12

Can anyone tell me are these big kids or small teenagers?
If you are in contact with this age group on regular basis, you most likely would agree that it depends on the day and situation. Well, really the hour.
So the dilemma for Christmas gift giving becomes finding a Christmas gift for this age range that does not offend their 'grown-upness' but still plays to their childlike tendencies. After all, a nine year old is still a kid.
To help you sort through some of thinking behind finding the right gift this group, I have put together a few tips for you.
1. Buy Gifts that Give the Kids Permission to Play
There are some very fun toys out there that are targeted towards more advanced role-playing. Two examples would be -
1. A helmet with voice activated noises and lights, yes very cool.
2. Deluxe model transformers: these have additional features that younger kids would not know how to play or would break. Playing swords with a helmet that has lights everywhere would be great fun for all ages. Anything that flies or moves would be great interactive gifts.
2. Creative Gifts
So much fun to shop for! You can find just about anything you can dream up for this age group in the creative thought line.
Block Building Set
There are block-building sets with motors so your creations actually move. You can build Lego or other Lego type toys into transforming robots. My nephew loves his 'creature' like this and will tell you about his dad and him building it. K'nex and Magnetix (if you do not have small children or pets in the house) are tons of fun.
Science Experiments
I found lots of science type experiments that the kids would have a great time doing. Whether it is stargazing, exploding volcanoes, or watching a larvae to butterfly you can find an activity that is specific to the interest of your child.
3. Interactive Family Games
This age group tends to be very self-critical and desperately needs the reassurance of adults in his/her life. Interactive games are a great way to strengthen these relationships.
Board Games
A fun board game I found was Gobblet. Although I have not played this game personally it looks like a fast moving fun game. I highly suggest at least one gift that is not an electronic enable a different type of family interaction.
Game Systems
And course there are game systems very targeted at this age group, so depending on the system your child has you may want to consider a new game. My family as a Nintendo wii so I am looking at the Mario driving game.
4. Electronics
Each family will have to make their own decision about the age appropriateness for their children. Very popular choices in this age group: cell phones, digital cameras, Nintendo ds and game systems: Sony ps 3 and Nintendo Wii.
No mater what you decide for a gift it is important for the child to feel special and loved. Choosing a gift that compliments their personality will let the child know that you notice them. Possibly consider a short note to the child to put in with your gift telling the child how much you love them and one or two special attributes you have noticed. Even if during gift opening that note seems unappreciated you can be assured that your note will be saved long past Christmas morning. Because aside from all the gift hype at Christmas, deep down each child just wants to know that they are loved and special.
