"Do you have any new Punch Recipes for this coming Christmas?", Tony asked.
"Yes, teacher has given us a numbers of fruit punch and fruit salad recipes.", said Mary.
"What kind of recipes, do you mind to share with me?", Tony said.
"Sure! This time we can discuss and do it together.", Said Mary.
"Class quiet! Please do your work quietly, I will be back in an hour time!", Vanessa said to the class.
While Vanessa is walking out of the classroom, all the students started discussing about how to create new recipes from the source that teacher has given.
Tony and Mary pair up immediately. They have started to drop down notes and discuss with each other.
After 45 minutes, came Vanessa. She is waiting for someone to show up with some wonderful creations. Yes, she saw Tony and Mary walking towards her. They came with a few pieces of paper.
"Class, shall we see what they have prepared for us?", said Vanessa.
Champagne Fruit Punch
Ingredients
4000 ml champagne 1 sliced pineapple 2 sliced oranges 2 sliced lemons 500g sugar 500 ml curacoa liqueur (optional) 1000g fresh strawberries 2000 ml water
Preparation
a. Mix all well together in punch bowl, except champagne. b. Put in large piece of ice and pour the champagne in.
Fruit Salad Recipes
Orange and Apples
Ingredients
4 oranges or 2 grapefruits 4 apples 1 cup chopped celery 1 head lettuce 1 cup mayonnaise
Preparation
a. Cut fruits up with celery. b. Serve on lettuce leave with mayonnaise.
Orange and Walnuts
Ingredients
6 oranges 500g pickled walnuts 1 head lettuce 1 cup mayonnaise
Preparation a. Peel oranges and slice length-wise. b. Chop walnuts, mix with oranges and mayonnaise. c. Serve on lettuce.
Fruit Salad Dressing
Ingredients
250 ml olive oil 300g powdered sugar 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1/4 teaspoon salt 1.5 lemons (juiced)
Preparation
Mix in order given and serve with orange, grapefruit, pineapple or banana.
Christmas Fruit Jelly
Ingredients
2 tablespoons agar-agar 1 lemon 500 ml wine 400g sugar 1000 ml water 250g white grapes
Action
a. Boil agar-agar, lemon and sugar. b. Add wine to flavour, when removing from the fire. c. When it begins to congeal, stir in white grapes.
Fruit Pudding
Ingredients
125g candied cherries 50g citron (thin slices) 125g macaroons Sponge cake 500 ml milk 1 tablespoon agar-agar or gelatine 1 lemon rind (cut very thin) 85g powdered sugar 2 tablespoon cold water
Action
a. Soak the agar-agar in cold water until it is soft. b. Put it over the fire in a saucepan with the milk, sugar, and the rind. c. Let it heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally until the gelatine and sugar are dissolved. d. Butter an plain pudding mould thickly with cold butter, and ornament the bottom and sides by decorating some fruits against them. e. Place the remaining fruit and the cake in the mould, in alternate layers. f. Strain the milk into the mould and set it where it will cool and firm. It takes about 4-5 hours. g. Turn it out of the mould and serve it cold.
"Thank you very much for the hard work!", said Vanessa.
